Project Overview
The project was conceived by a common interest and the desire for clean energy, in addition to saving energy and reducing demand on the national energy grid. GrowthPoint properties provided the building. Hudu did the design, engineering and turnkey solution for optimum performance output as well as the installation, Suntech provided the 234 Photovoltaic Solar Panels and Eskom contributed towards the funding of this project.
This project was the first of its kind in the Natal Province

hudu designed this sytem to allow the solar panels to charge the batteries continuously during the day. The load will run directly off the batteries. (Grid Interactive system)

Oostvallei Retirement Village

The Oostvallei Retirement Village has one hundred and twenty two flat roofed cottages on the Estate. The owner’s objective is to install solar photovoltaics on the 122 dwellings and to be self-sufficient in the electrical energy supply. Surplus energy will be sold to the Grid.
